Peter Tornberg appointed new CEO of Hydro Rein
Hydro Rein has appointed Peter Tornberg as new Chief Executive Officer. Tornberg brings extensive senior leadership experience from the renewable energy sector, including development and commercialization of large wind power projects in Europe.
Tornberg has held several senior roles within renewable energy, most notably at OX2 and Vattenfall. He joins Hydro Rein from the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Swedish energy technology startup Plexigrid.
At OX2, Tornberg was part of the executive management team and served as Chief Commercial Officer and Development Officer. He was a driving force behind the company's growth from a small Scandinavian wind power developer into a publicly listed European renewable energy company.
He worked at Vattenfall prior to joining OX2 and held several senior positions. Tornberg played a key role in establishing wind and solar as a significant and commercially important part of Vattenfall’s energy business.

He has held key roles at Vattenfall and OX2 and has experience from scaling development platforms, both within complex organizations and fast-growing dedicated organizations, such as OX2. Peter Tornberg is a Swedish national, based in Stockholm. He will join Hydro Rein on March 1.
